URL Log Problems

Postby SJOGH » Thu Mar 11, 2010 9:45 am

Hello Serge,

Thanks for sending the licence through promptly.

I have encountered some problems. I work for a homeless charity and we print off a few hundred tickets at a time and dish them out to users as and when they require them. All tickets are for 30 minute duration.

When a client is suspected of looking at banned material, we need to see all the URLs visited by ticket number.

I suspect that I need to go to

Tools
Internet, URL, Wifi

But I get a message that the Network adaptors are not installed.

Out network is set up as follows.

One WIFI router connected to the internet with ten client PCs (including one Truecafe serverPC) all running from WIFI network.

We do not want offer wifi to anyone (only the client PCs)

Kind regards

David

I also have another problem. I have a ten license and have it installed on seven PCs including the server PC. I ahve tried to put PC number 8 on the network and it is telling me I have exceeded the ten licences. How can this be?

Sorry another problem. When I list terminals, a few of them are listed twice

for example

We have a PC names Estonia.

Int he terminal list tehre are two entries for it

Estonia
Estonia-test-auto.

This test auto Terminal is taking us over our license and we have to manually delete it every time.

Greetings Sir,

Please open TrueCafe main menu > Setup > Terminals. Do you have the "Add terminals... automatically" option (below the terminal list) enabled or disabled? Try disabling it.

Regards,
Serge.

Thanks Serge, that should sort it out. I will try that next week when I am next in.

Any solution to the URL logging problem or should that fix it too?

You have to setup your network in such a way to that you ensure that your customers goes via your TrueCafe Server computer:

http://www.truecafe.net/doc/wifi_setup.html

You'll have to have 2 LAN cards in your server computer, etc.

Serge.
